Surveys are a research method used for collecting data from people 
to gather information on various topics.

How does a survey work?
It gives a series of questions that many people are asked 
to collect data or to detect public opinion on a specific issue.


Types of Surveys
Survey using traditional method.
Verbal surveys.
Online surveys.
An online survey is a set of questions, that the person (respondent) completes over the Internet, 
generally filling out a form. 


What are the advantages of an online survey?
An online survey is an easier way to reach out to the people as it is faster and cheaper than the traditional way of gathering information through one to one interaction.

What is the target?
The target is extremely important, it is the public that will be the future consumer of the product or service we want to offer.

Our survey will be to research uses, opinions and knowledge about some UoI topics, so let's define our "target".

Types of Answers on a Survey
On a regular survey answers can be:
A multiple choice answer.
A close answer (Yes/No).
A clasification or qualification answer.
An open answer (text).



Class Activity

1. Work in groups of 4 and ask for the survey topic (1 per group).

Topics:
- Image and self-concept (about your image physically)
- Well-being (food, customs and habits...)
- Sense of self (personality traits, self value, strengths and weaknesses of your personality...)
- Personal relationships (friends, family, people in general...)
- Maturity
- Puberty Changes

2. According to the topic prepare 6 questions for your survey, (3 multiple choice, 1 close answer, 1 text answer and  1 rate answer).

3. Check your questions / answers with your teachers.

**Microsoft Forms**

4. Once you get the teachers approval, only one member will create and share the group survey in MS Forms.

5. Ask your teacher before sending the survey to all your classmates.

**Read the survey in "Forms" with your teacher again before sending it.

6. Once you start getting the responses you can check the different options responses of MS Forms.

7. Each teamwork should analyze the answers to their survey, and then share the results with the class.
** As a challenge you can create your own survey, about one of the following subjects: Pets, friendship, video games, places to visit and music. Remember you must show the survey to your teacher before send it.
